DEPARTMENTAL MISSION
OUTPUTS:
• Ensuring compliance with relevant SCM procedures and regulations
• Provide support and guidance to the rest of the buying team.
• Establish, Maintain, and administer contracts pertaining to commodity categories.
• Ensure administrative functions to procure goods and services are correctly executed in accordance with approved Procure-to Pay (P2P) processes. Taking in account the relevant legislation applicable to a schedule 3B entity of government.
• Communicate with internal customers to ensure clear understanding of their needs and guidance in relations to procurement process.
• Develop and maintain professional and co-operative relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure the optimum delivery of goods and services.
• Contract, vendor management and suppliers’ performance feedback
• Contract Execution and Management e.g. (creation and expediting orders)
• Consolidated and compile report
KNOWLEDGE:
• Computer literacy, SAP and MS Office,
• Supply Chain Management policies and procedures, especially tendering process
• Extensive understanding of relevant legislation-PFMA; PPPFA; CIDB; BBBEE; Local Content, Treasury Regulations
• Excellent administrative skills

CAPABILITIES:
Minimum Requirements:
• Grade 12 Senior Certificate.
• National Diploma in SCM/ Purchasing/Procurement/Logistics or Business Management (NQF6)
• Valid Driver’s License.
Experience:
• At least 3 years’ experience in Supply Chain Management, and of which 2 years should be in Buyer/sourcing.
